Fish Oil: Essential Fatty Acid
Optimum Nutrition's Fish Oil Softgels contain a natural blend of two important Omega-3 fatty acids: Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) and Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA). Each softgel provides 1000 mg of Fish Oil, 120 mg of DHA and 180 mg of EPA.
We all are aware of countless benefits of fish oils. Optimum Nutrition Fish Oil Softgels are enteric coated, which means that you get all of the benefits of fish oils without the fishy aftertaste that you might encounter without this special coating. Fish Oils contain long-chain fatty acids DHA and EPA. DHA is shorthand for docosahexaenoic acid and EPA for Eicosapentaenoic Acid.
Enteric Coated Fish Oil Softgel:
- Heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids
- Long chain EPA & DHA oils
- Easier to swallow softgels
DHA: This omega-3 fatty acid is the primary building block of the brain and retina of the eye. In addition to being an integral part of our vision, our hearts and our nerves, DHA also benefits our cholesterol. A recent study showed that volunteers who took DHA on a regular basis achieved lower levels of LDL cholesterol and higher levels of HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol).
EPA: This omega-3 fatty acid provides anti-inflammatory activity, enhance the immune system, thin blood and lower blood pressure. The cardiovascular benefits of EPA are numerous.
